THE WELFARE TRUST AND ITS WORK
The Rhodesian Ridgeback Welfare Trust was founded as a registered Charity in November, 1994. Although it was formed by the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain, at the instigation of the late Fred Grimwood, it is completely independent and is managed by a board of trustees.
THE FORMAL OBJECTS OF THE TRUST ARE
To advance the education of the public about the care and treatment of Rhodesian
Ridgebacks.
To relieve the suffering and distress of Rhodesian Ridgebacks who are
in need of care, maintenance, attention and to provide Rhodesian Ridgebacks with
re-
To provide or maintain kennels, rescue homes or animal hospitals
or sanctuaries or other facilities for the reception and care of unwanted Rhodesian
Ridgebacks together with such treatment as the Rhodesian Ridgebacks may require.
To
promote responsible Rhodesian Ridgeback ownership and discouragement of the irresponsible
breeding of Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
